HELP:Cursor disappears in game

I tried to install Medieval Total War II on my macbook pro 2.4 core w/2gb ram. When I go o run the game it runs fine if I start it is fullscreen except I cannot see the cursor - I can bttons being highlighted as I arbitrarily pass over them. If I dont start in full scree I get a weird partial screen of the game with the rest being the windows desktop - the note being here is that I can see the cursor over the desktop portion of the screen however t disappears when I passover into the partial screen of the game - by partial dont mean minimized but cut off md screen(as if viewing just upper left coner of game.

Does any one have any guess as to what my problem is and maybe some sugesstions on oe to fix it.

 

I am having the exact same problem, only with City of Heroes. I am only guessing, but it might be an issue with custom game cursors or the game's full screen mode.
