Help getting an optical drive to work

MBPro Dual 2, 2.33 with 2gb ram
Win XP
Parallels 1970

I cannot for the life of me to get my optical drive to work, the internal mitsubishi
I've tried what I think is everything thus far
I also have a Lacie d2 usb - wont' work either - with this drive i get "wait 5-10 seconds"

Overall, no luck at all.

Any suggestions???

Good morning to you and I assume, your winVM is fully patched Sp2 w/72 updates (last time I checked)

Good morning to you... i had simular issue with 1970 build and once i have upgraded to 3106.. USB support was much better... make sure autoconnect is on...
