help with transferring files from virtual machine to mac desktop

Hi there

I am wanting to transfer some avi files that I downloaded on my vpc using parallels to my mac desktop so I can burn them to a dvd and I am wondering how I do that.

I have read that I can drag and drop them regularly but I can seem to find where I would drag them from so I can drop them on my mac desktop.

any help would be appreciated
