firstly i am not too computer savy so excuse the probably dumb questions!
for some reason i am having problems installing fedora 5 on paralells

i download the DVD image to my hard drive and try and boot the iso image from the CD/DVD-ROM.

why doesn't it work ? memory is set at 516?

also when i do eventually get it set up i want to run some x-windows and graphics using openGL is there any issues i should be aware of?

any help much appreciated

What are the messages that you receive when you try to boot to the ISO image? Do you get these messages on the first image or a later one? What does 'doesn't work' mean? Describe what happens in more detail. Don't know why you upped the memory so high, but 256 should be more than enough.
