Helping a friend load Windows 98 on MacBook

Hi, brand new to parallels, so please bear with me.
My friend bought a MacBook, but needs Internet Explorer (IE) 6 to visit a site for work.
I successfully installed parallels, and have successfully installed Windows 98 (purchased new from eBay with activation code).
Her screen resolution is set to 16 colors. I am trying to figure out how to get the graphics drivers.
In OSX, under about this computer, her graphics info is "GMA 950 Intel" chipset. I went to Intel, but couldn't find this driver. Is there any way that W98 can use the OSX driver?
I also set up OSX for Windows Sharing. I went to Network Neighborhood and can see the 'other' computer, but it asks for a password. I enter it but it denies me access. Any clues?

How do you right click in Windows 98 on Macbook? CTRL+click does nothing.

1.) The graphics card.

a) While logged in in Windows, choose "Install Parallels Tools" from the VM menu, wait for the installation to complete, then restart Windows. Of course, if you have already installed the Parallels Tools you can skip this step

b) If you still cannot configure more than 16 colors in the Windows control panel, you should open the "System" control panel, go to the device manager and look at the installed graphics adapters. Probably you'll see not only the "Parallels Video Adapter" (the correct driver), but also a "Standard VGA adapter" or something like that. Select this second adapter and remove it. Then restart. Now you should be able to enable "true color" support. However, you won't be able to use the full screen resolution of the MacBook because Win 98 has no widescreen support. You would have to upgrade to Win 2000 to get that.

2.) The right-click. You can configure the key needed for a right-click in the parallels preferences. By default, it's CTRL+SHIFT+Click.

I noticed...after W98 installation that Parallels has an update. Are these vital (assuming W98 is for only one secure web site)? After upgrade do I need to reinstall W98? How often is Parallels updated?

The first is sufficient. the others include the first so they will work as well.

Yes.

If the installation is working to your satisfaction, there's no need to upgrade. If you want the upgrade's bug fixes or new features, then upgrade.

The upgrade installs a new version of the application, and does not touch your VM(s). Many upgrades provide new versions of Parallels tools which must be installed in your VM(s).

Upgrades are frequent since new features are constantly being introduced and bugs fixed. New versions of the Mac often require Parallels updates to cope with Apple's changes. The shining example was the introduction of the core 2 duo processor the Parallels got their hands on at the same time the public did which created a real scramble to adapt to it. They did a great job responding to that quickly but it took several updates to get all the fixes in.
