I use Parallels to do Windows development, some of that involves working with Docker. This requires than I enable the Nested Virtualisation functionality, and I use the new WSL functionality to run Docker (so I'm NOT using Hyper-V). What seems to have happened since I've enabled this (also when I was using Hyper-V) is that I will see: 1) Very high CPU usage when swapping to my Mac form the VM, sometimes leading to a total system freeze (even the trackpad stops working, fan spins up, machine stuck until it restarts). 2) Sudden freezes, where the above happens just randomly. 3) If I leave the VM running overnight, in most cases my machine is off when I open it in the morning. This has been ongoing for about 6 months, and I thought swapping from Hyper-V might resolve it, but it hasn't.
