My subscription expired because they spammed my credit card and the credit card company thought it was fraud. However my main problem is the software that I have already paid for, no longer works. I paid for the version I have on my machine. I get that I shouldn't get updates without the subscription, but what I've already paid for shouldn't stop working; this is completely unacceptable. I will make sure all my clients know about this and encourage them to never use Parallels again.
