I have a Windows 11 guest and a Monterey host in this specific setup.
I manually set the IPs to make things foolproof. Using host-only networking.
    Windows IP: 10.37.129.4
    Monterey IP: 10.37.129.2
Used ipconfig in windows to confirm IP.
Used ifconfig in Monterey to confim IP.
Windows can ping to both IPs just fine
Monterey can ping to itself (10.37.129.2), but not Windows (10.37.129.4).
To add to the mystery this is the route get output in Monterey:
    Code:
    > route get 10.37.129.4
       route to: windows-11.host-only
    destination: windows-11.host-only
      interface: bridge101
          flags: <UP,HOST,DONE,LLINFO,WASCLONED,IFSCOPE,IFREF,ROUTER>
recvpipe sendpipe ssthresh rtt, msec rttvar hopcount mtu expire
