This is on a mac. Windows on the mac runs very well with the mac OS. No cohesion mode No shared folders When I do full screen mode, I get a small box for linux and then black around it. Is it possible to get a true full screen with linux?
I just installed Ubuntu 6.06 and I'm having trouble installed parrallels tools. I run the install tools and then an icon shows up on the ubuntu desktop. When I open it the folder the only file in there is "primary volume descriptor for contact information". I'm not seeing how to actually install the tools. I've got an xp machine installed as well and the parallels tools installed no problem. I'm new to Linux so this could be something I'm doing wrong. Any ideas? Thanks.
Thanks for the response. I took a look at the article. I'm a complete noobie with linux so you'll have to forgive me if I'm a little slow. Whenever I launch "install parallel tools" an icon for the cd shows up on the desktop. Whenever I browse the cd the only file I see is "primary volume description for contact information". I'm not sure exactly how to "mount" the cd. I thought that if was displayed on the desktop like it is that it would already be mounted. If you could let me know if I'm on the right track here I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.
Hello, have you performed the second step of installation instruction from the article I gave? After you initiate "Install Parallel Tools" you should do the following: execute mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom command in the console Then run the installation script from the mounted drive: execute sh /mnt/cdrom/parallels-tools-install.run command in the console. NOTE: these commands require root privileges
