I have Windows 11 running under Parallels Desktop on a MacBook Air. I have Box installed on the MacBook Air and all of its files are located in a Mac Location named Box. When I try to access files on the Mac from Windows 11 File Explorer (or from any program installed on the Windows VM), I can get to //Mac/Home and //Mac/iCloud, but not to //Mac/Box (or, for that matter, to any other Location on the Mac that isn't under Home or iCloud). Question: How do I set up Windows to access the Box files in the Mac's file system?
Hello Rob, To share a folder with a virtual machine, please perform the steps outlined below: Make sure that the virtual machine is shut down. If it is in a suspended state, please run it and then shut it down (Actions > Shut Down). Open the virtual machine's Configuration: click the Parallels icon > Control Center > right-click on the virtual machine > Configure. Switch to the Options tab then select Sharing from the list. Ensure the "Share custom Mac folders with Windows checkbox" is selected. Click the "Manage Folders..." button. In the newly appeared window press + button. Add your Box folder to the list. Click the OK button and close the configuration window. Restart the virtual machine. Check if the Box folder can be accessed on the virtual machine.
