I just installed a macOS on external SSD so I can boot up from the external drive then finish some work if the main OS failed and I don't have time to restore the entire system from Time Machine.
But keeping the second OS always new is a pain in the ass, I have to restart the laptop then switch the OS.
Is there a way to add the external macOS as a virtual machine? So that I can run two macOS at the same time without switching the OS so frequently.
