how to change config of existing virtual machine now?

You can use Configuration Editor to change your VM setup.
To open it, start VM but do not launch the Guest OS. Click Configuration.
If the Guest OS launches automatically, press Apple (Command) key before clicking the Parallels icon to start VM and keep holding the key when clicking.
