How to decrease virtual HD, hdd file?

When I created my virtual HD for my Win XP VM, I used the default size of 64 GB (p 77 of the User's Guide). Now I realize that's wayyy bigger than I need and I'd like to reclaim some of the space held in my hdd file (for use by Mac OS, not Windows obviously) by reducing that virtual HD to maybe 10 GB. Is this possible?

While I have successfully used both the Windows Image Tool and the Compression Tool to reduce the size of my hdd file, it's still much much larger than I want (about 68 GB). Correct me if I'm wrong, but I assume this is because it's holding onto 64 GB for my virtual HD, right?

Background:
- I created the VM under Parallels 3, but have since upgrade to Parallels 4
- I'm running Win XP in the VM

Any suggestions?
 
It is because you are using Snapshots,
Please merge Snapshots or delete them.

Warning make sure you copied necessary information to mac , prior to deleting Snapshots

Hi John, thanks for your reply. Yes, I did delete them all before running the two tools. Question: if I originally specified 64 GB for my virtual hard drive size, is it possible for me to resize is so that my hpp file gets reduced in size?
 
Let me describe situation
1. When you create Virtual Disk , default is expanding - it is meant that size of Virtual HD is not the full size you specified, but it is size of data, which is stored in it
2. You can only expand not reduce the size
 
Ah my mistake. I deleted my Snapshots using Snapshop Mgr, but hadn't deleted them on disk. Dramatic drop in HD space now. Thanks for your help, John.
