i am running window 11 on M1 mac chip, but the Hyper-V setting on it is blocked out for me. I inserted photos of error message. Is there any fix? I will provide any extra needed detail if asked. Thank you
Hello, Nested virtualization on M1 Macs is primarily a hardware limitation of the M1 chip rather than a software limitation that could be resolved through a simple update from Apple or Parallels. The M1 chip, based on the ARM architecture, does not natively support nested virtualization. Nested virtualization on M1 Macs is not supported due to the hardware limitations of the M1 chip. However, it's worth noting that hardware capabilities and software advancements may evolve over time, so it's always recommended to check for the latest updates and announcements Parallels regarding virtualization features on M1 Macs by subscribing to this article: https://kb.parallels.com/en/125195 Thank you.
thank you for your response, one more question. is there a way to emulate sort of a other cpu architecture? or mask the architecture from the vmm to allow for the option to be checked?
Hello joem34, Unfortunately, CPU architecture masking or emulation is not possible using Parallels Desktop.
So I cant run android emulators in visual studio 2022 in windows(parallels) ? I am also using macbook m2 max.
