    Hi,

    How can I import a Virtual Box appliance that has been exported/saved (by someone else) as a .ova file?

    I read that one approach to this is to use prl_convert, but prl_convert says:

    $ prl_convert vworks-win-7-x64-2013.02.08.ova
    Error: The source virtual machine or disk is neither a third-party virtual machine nor a third-party virtual disk.

    It says this with our without the --no-src-check option.

    Is there some other way, or something I'm missing?

    Thanks!

    .ova (Open Virtualization Format) is not supported by Parallels. But since VBox is free you can download it and use it to convert to VBox native format which is supported by Parallels
