How to limit CPU power

Can i limit parallels' CPU power to 1 core on my macbook.
I really want to work fast in my other apps while windows does something... (and yes, OSX is set to respond best in the setup).

Would be awesome to just pin-point parallels to 1 CPU and OS to the other.
 
What does 'emulation flags' -> 'acceleration' do? Can i slow down windows (and increase OSX speed) with this??
