How to make port 443 working?

Hi,
i have installed pararrels on 10.5.3 Mac because in need to be able to acces internet banking in Internet explorer which evidently does not work in MAC. Everything works but at certain stage, communication with the server stops. I called the support and they told me that port 443 and 80 needs to be open. Also my windows update when searching for updates quits and i think it is the same issue, some port is not open.

Could somebody give me step by step instruction what to do in order to make sure there ports are open?
I am using MAC shortly so please explain it as if for stupid...

1. Switch to Bridged Ethernet as described in Parallels Desktop for Mac user guide from http://www.parallels.com/en/download/file/doc/Parallels_Desktop_for_Mac_User_Guide.pdf on page 157
and assign IP in the same range
