How to run a shell command (or AppleScript) automatically when stop/start Parallels?

Is there a way (either within Paralles itself, or through a third party program/hack/whatever) to automatically run either an Applescript or a shell command, both when I start up/resume a virtual machine, and also again when I shut down or suspend a virtual machine?

I run The Missing Sync to let me sync my Windows Mobile 5 smartphone; however I also use ActiveSync within my virtual Windows machine so that I can use Pocket Quicken (which isn't available for the Mac). In order for them not to collide, you have to manually (through a shell command) unload the Missing Sync .kext file before syncing in Parallels, and reload it when you are done with Parallels. It would be neat if this step could be automated.
