Hi,
I bought Civilization 4 since it is said to be supported on the sales page for Parallels 4 (http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/features/3d/), but I cannot play it due to severe graphics flicker. I am running on an MacPro with ATI X1900, 10.5.8, 8GB RAM, Parallels 4.0.3844. I tried using fully patched Windows XP, as well as Windows 7 RC1 (same issue). In the vm I tried 1GB of memory with 128MB of graphics memory, then with 2GB + 256MB of graphics. Again, no difference. I also tried reinstalling DirectX. No change.
Then I did search through the forums here and found others have had the same issue. The last message on this subject I saw was from January 23, when someone from Parallels said they would file a bug report about (http://forum.parallels.com/showthread.php?t=12793&page=12&highlight=civilization).
Was it fixed? Is anyone running it without the graphics glitch? Are there any settings that need to be changed?
If not - why is it listed as supported?
Thanks,
Bart
