    Hi,

Now I am either too dumb or blind but I cannot seem to find how to shut down the virtual machine on my Macbook M1 Pro 2021.

I would like to shut it down as I cannot change some settings (for example how much CPUs, RAM, etc is being used by the virtual machine) as it says I need to shut down the virtual machine first.
I tought restarting my macbook would solve this but the message stays the same.

I see no "paralells" logo nowhere to click on it and choose "shut down".

    Can someone help please? Thanks!

    Hello,

To shut down a virtual machine, Click the Parallels icon in the menu bar and choose Actions > Shut Down.

Please follow the following link https://kb.parallels.com/123111 for more information

    Thanks

First make sure the VM window is open and active. If you are using Parallels, click on the top menu where it says Actions, then select Shut Down. If you cannot find the Parallels icon in the menu bar, try using Spotlight Search (press Command and Space) and type Parallels to open it. Once Parallels opens, you will see your virtual machine listed there -- right-click or control-click on it and choose Shut Down. Restarting your Mac does not always shut down the virtual machine properly, so you need to do it directly through the virtual machine app.
