How to turn off Windows App icons on the dock?

Hi,
This sounds like a stupid question, but how can I prevent the applications that I run in the XP VM from showing up in my dock as icons? They are mildly annoying.

Coherence is not enabled. I even disabled the coherence service from within the Services control panel app. So what other options am I missing?
