How to view files in both Mac and Windows?

I have Parallels set to coherence but I can't figure out how to view mac photos and music in windows. This software is so hard to figure out and there is NO SUPPORT for it.

Please switch Parallels to the os window mode (using the ALT+ENTER keystroke).
Do you see a Parallels Shared folders icon at the Windows desktop? Please double-click it and browse to your Home folder.

I must be doing something wrong. I still cannot see the Shared folders icon.

 

Thank you. I do see the Parellels Shared folders icon but I cannot use it in my Windows programs. When I look for photos to insert in a program the Shared Folder does not show up there so I can select a photo.
