Can anyone tell me what a "hypervisor" is? If I know what it is, maybe I can communicate with it.

In the off chance your comment wasn't totally tongue in cheek, a hypervisor (modified from "supervisor") is a software layer that facilitates the running of multiple OSes so that each OS thinks it's seeing the expected set of hardware natively and to itself.seeray said:Can anyone tell me what a "hypervisor" is? The boxed version of Parallels will not work on the Mac Pro. You need to download the latest update from here.seeray said:kosh -
Nope, not tongue in cheek at all. I just bought the Parallels package at CompUSA, and the CD shows a 2006 date. I'll check the build version as soon as I get home, since I use a Win XP pc at work.
