I can NOT install parallels TOOLS w. 1966

I am running server 2003. After upgrading to 1966, I kept getting msgs. that my parallels tools were not up to date. I would select install parallels tools on the vm menu, get the warning that the vm has to be running. etc. click ok then NOTHING would happen. The menu option would change to Cancel Tools Installation but it never gets installed.

I am having a similar issue, however, I am getting an error message.

I get this error when trying install the tools from the VM menu and when trying to uninstall from the Add/Remove programs.

Windows 2000 installed fine the tools fine. I tried restarting both the VM and Parallels itself to no avail.

Any ideas?
