I have a disk image (C:) that was created as a 30 GB drive for a Vista VM when that VM was built. It is an expanding disk. It was created with whatever version of Parallels was current back in April '07. There is 15 GB of data on the drive. I've gone through the various non-beta releases of Parallels since then, and am now on v3 4560. The Image Tool won't expand the drive - the error says the disk is "not supported in the current version".

How is this thing supposed to work? The expanding feature doesn't work in v3 (any build so far) - if I add data to fill up the headroom it doesn't expand. At least I was able to use the Acronis disk tools to add space from the unallocated space and get more free space. I also suppose I could create additional .hdds and use Acronis to add their space to C:

Will Image Tool not work on expanding disks made prior to v3?

I had the same problem. With beta 5060 the problem is solved.
