Imaging my old PC for Parallels install

I just bought a Mac Pro and am wandering if I can take an image of my old PC and install that into a Parallels VM for Windows XP. That would be ideal so that I can still access my already configured windows environment and all my applications as I need to.

I haven't found anything in the forums about this ...

Thanks for any advice.
