whe n I try to open windows to instal it says Your CPU supports Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x) but it is currently disabled (locked by firmware). Virtual machine will be started without VT-x support (in software virtualization mode). Then it say's Non-System disk or disk error Replace and press any key when ready Then when I take off the disk with "disable" It says No bot device availible, press enter to continue When I press enter it keep on putting that! What dink should I put ofr what should I do? PLEASE help!!
Hello King1212 First please make sure you have all latest MacOS X software and firmware updates installed (just browse to Apple -> Software Update to check it).If you do, please try the following: 1.Put your Mac to sleep mode (Apple -> Sleep) 2.Wait for about 2 minutes. 3.Wake up Mac. 4.Try starting Parallels Desktop again. Please note that workaround above needs to be repeated each time after the reboot of your MacOS X.
I spent many hours with this problem too and finally found this post from smelvis on this board: 1) Found Knowledge base article http://kb.parallels.com/entry/30/458/ 2) Before, I tried installing from Disk Image using "Express" install. Article suggested using "Typical" install. That seemed to do the trick. XP is now up and (mostly) running.
