Installation Assistant hangs installing Ubuntu 19.10

Attempting to install from Ubuntu 19.10 .iso file downloaded yesterday. Using Parallels Version 15.1.3 (47255) on macOS 10.15.3.

I see the installation process begin normally: I'm asked for user name and password, then watch it formatting and copying files to the new virtual disk.

Then the "Installation Assistant" window shows a terminal with 9-10 lines of boot information, culminating in a line that says, "ACPI Error: AE_NOT_FOUND..." (see screen shot)

The installer then hangs for a long time (hours). The spinner in the title bar continues, the CPU in my MacBook Pro (mid-2015, 16GB RAM) shows 200% (four cores at 50%) for a long time.

Ultimately (I let it run overnight), it comes out to show the Ubuntu desktop. I double-clicked the "Install 19.10" icon, and it failed because I had not provisioned a large enough disk. So I had to stop the installation and re-provision, and wait several more hours.

My question: Am I doing something wrong? In the past (with earlier Ubuntu installs), the installation process copied files then asked about my keyboard and got everything going in a few minutes...

could you please update your Parallels Desktop 15 to the latest build (15.1.4) check the issue and let us know how does it work.
If the issue still persists please collect the tech report right after the issue reproduced and post the report's ID here.

I already tried this - I sent the results via email on 22 Apr 2020 to Michael Patrikeev. Here's what I said:

1) I downloaded and installed Ubuntu 20.04 (beta) from an ISO with my Parallels 15.1.4 on macOS 10.15.3 (Technical Report ID 338279241). It got stuck at the screen below for many minutes (about 10?), but then came out on the other side to give a fully-functioning 20.04 installation.

2) I downloaded and installed Ubuntu 19.04 from an ISO. It seemed to install OK, but it was still operating in the "Installation Assistant" window. I upgraded to 19.10 (see image below), and it remained in the Installation Assistant, even after rebooting the guest. I chose "Install Manually", and then it "became" a real VM guest. It now seems to act normally.

3) The "ACPI Error..." that I reported earlier seemed to have flashed briefly on-screen during one of these installs, but it immediately went away, and the installation continued normally.

So I wonder what would have happened if I had chosen "Install Manually" for my 19.10 install that I reported earlier. Nonetheless - having it stuck at that terminal screen with the ACPI Error message for hours is still a problem.

Please let me know if I can provide other troubleshooting information.
