Installing Visual Studio 2017 with HAXM

When trying to run the Visual Studio 2017 installer on a Windows 10 virtual machine, using Parallels Desktop (12), the HAXM installer hangs. When trying to download an install HAXM directly it logs the message "This computer does not support Intel Virtualization Technology (VT-x). HAXM cannot be installed.". I have removed Hyper-V from Windows following some recommendations found elsewhere, but that does not help. Parallels Desktop supports virtualisation, so I'm not sure what's happening. Does anybody have any ideas??

Shutdown your Windows 10 virtual machine and then make sure nested virtualization is enabled in virtual machine's configuration by referring the instructions below:
    1. Open virtual machine configuration
    2. Go to Hardware > CPU & Memory and Expand Advanced settings
    3. Check Enable nested virtualization option
NOTE: Nested virtualization feature is available only in Parallels Desktop Pro and Business versions only.
 
Thanks, Arunraj. I figured out yesterday that I needed the Pro version and decided so fork out the extra money. Now it all works fine.
