installing window 7 from download on mac

hi

i was wondering if someone could tell me how i can set up a windows virtual computer using parallels given that i am downloading windows 7 from the net. when i follow the normal process in parallels it says i need the cd. surely there must be a way to do this...

If you're talking about a legit Windows 7 install, borrow a Win 7 DVD from a friend and install the program from it using the "key" that came with the download program. As far as I can tell, ALL Win 7 DVD's are the same and will recognize an legit key. I put Win 7 on 3 different computers using the same DVD, but separate "keys". They all work fine.
