Installing Windows 8

I am currently running Windows XP Professional version 2002 with Service pack 3 on Parallels Desktop 9. I have purchased and downloaded Windows 8. When I try to run the Windows 8 setup wizard it says "Platform not supported" and will not run. Why will it not run?

You could try performing a clean install of Windows 8 with the download you have purchased.

Me too! Any help? I can't seem to get past the "Platform not supported" part. I downloaded that after I bought it and I can't download a copy to do a clean install...
