Installing Windows XP Home SP2 crashing iMac 2.16

I am able to install Parallels for Mac, bet the virutal machine setup, insert the Windows install disk (retail bought), then hit the green "go" button in Parallels, I get a dark curtain that comes down the screen and it tells me that I need to restart the computer. Once restarted, it says OSX unexpectedly quit.

HELP!!!!!

I presume you have the boxed copy of Parallels. It's not compatible with the latest iMacs. You need to download the just release update from here.
