Internal Error - Starting up Parallels virtual machine

I have just encountered an internal error message that says: "The procedure entry point 1_RcpException File filter could not be located in the dynamic ic link library RPCRT4.dll"

Can anyone help me to get my windows XP running again. I tried starting in safe mode, normal mode, and revert mode. none of this works. I have important work documents I cannot afford to lose. Please help.

probably similar: When I try starting Parallels it says: Parallels Desktop is unable to access the virtual hard disk image file (path ist given) .. The fils is used by other application.

How on earth can this happen from one minute to the other????

I am working with Mac OS 10.5.1

any help is appreciated

P.S. I have tried a lot myself so far: rebooted, deleted some files, replaced files ... nothing is working.
 
However, I went into the hard drive and saved the files I needed for work on the mac desktop and then I uninstalled parallels and reinstalled it. It worked. But after a few days of use I cannot even get parallels to open. I don't know what to do.

Goran1, could you please describe when exactly did it happen? Were you doing anything? Did you installed new software or updates?
And does Parallels shows the same error now?
