Internet works wireless but not wired

I have PD 4 Build 3450 running on a Macbook Pro. The VM is running off a boot camp partition of Win XP Pro 32-bit

The VM can connect to a network and get an internet connection when OS X is connected via wireless. When OS X is connected to the same network via a wired connection the VM still connects to the network (packets send and receive) but it get's no internet connection. Both OS X and the Windows partition, booted on its own, have no problems with either wireless or wired connection.

I have shared networking enabled and connected

Any ideas?
 
When changing network type, in Windows command console
do following
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew

I assume IP address is set to DHCP, and in wireless and wired you have DHCP server(om router or separate) which provides IP address
