I resumed my Win XP Pro VM from suspend today and got a Kernel panic. After restarting and trying again I get:

File /Users/bradford/Documents/Parallels/Windows XP/Windows XP.pvs seems to be not a valid Parallels virtual machine configuration file!

I can still access the VM's C drive with Parallels explorer. How do I fix this?

could you please tell me what build of Parallels Desktop are you using?
Also please tell me how much RAM do you have on you Mac.

Could you please provide me with two screenshots?
1. 'Parallels Desktop' -> 'Preferences' -> 'Memory' tab.
2. 'Configuration Editor' -> 'Memory' tab.

I also receive an Invalid Parallels virtual machine configuration file message Help!

I have recently installed Leopard O.S. on my Mac. I have also downloaded the Parallels desktop 5582 Mac en.dmg file. Now when I try and use my parallels to get to my Windows side I get a message File/Users/my name/Documents/Parallels/Microsoft Windows XP/ Microsoft Windows XP. pvs seems to be not a valid Parallels virtual machine configuration file! I get stopped right there and can go no farther into the program. Can someone help me out. I need to get back to my files on the windows side.

This would be a great Christmas present to find the answer. I am just about going nuts!

Hello,

do you have an .hdd file? If so, please try to create a new VM using your old .hdd file.
