IP Issues

Can anyone explain to me how the IP address situatioon works in the Parallel? On the mac side I can set a parallel NAT and Guest IP. but neither of those IP schemes show up when I check my ipconfig on the parallel side. They are entirely different schemes. I need to set up a database on the Winodws side that can be accessed via IP from outside clients. It seems as though I am able to ping out but never in to the parallel... any ideas or clarification on how the many IP schemes relate?

You need to use Bridging Networking mode for your aim.
