I've got an app that I want to restrict to just our class A network. I make the range x.x.1.1 to x.x.254.254 and I can still see it from the internet. I've tried experimenting with some other ranges and sometimes they work and sometimes they don't with no discernible pattern. Any ideas?
Client filtering is based on the IP of the machine where the 2X client is running & this still might be in the range of ips you are allowing. I Suggest that apart from using IP filtering you use User filtering. Nixu
I am using user filtering as well as IP filtering. The machine that I am connecting from is not inside the allowed IP range. The allowed range is our campus class b network. When I dial up an outside ISP or connect from home I am not on our campus network but I can still see the app.
