Hi, this is such a basic question, but after spending 20 minutes on the Parallels site and reading the forums, I can't find an answer, so feel free to laugh at my stupidity:

I have some software (.exe file) my Mac can't read. If I install Parallels, will I be able to open it? Or do I have to install Parallels AND Windows?

The software says that it isn't Mac compatible, that it runs on Windows 95, 98, Me, NT, 2000, XP Home and XP Pro, so will Parallels help me run a Window program, or will Parallels help me run Windows?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

in order to run an .exe file you need both Parallels and Windows installed.

    Best regards,

Sometimes, there are options to be considered:
CrossOver Mac allows you to install many popular Windows applications and games on your Intel OS X Mac.

I think you actually meant to say "a small number of", rather than "many" :)
