ISO Images

I have tried to create an ISO image with Apple's Disk Utility by usng the DVD/CD Master format, which I believe is the same thing as ISO. The output from Apple' Disk Utility is a .cdr extension so I renamed to .ISO.

When I specify the file created by Apple' Disk Utility as my CD-ROM drive, the Windows guest operating system cannot recognize it. Has anyone tried this with success?

When you create the new image, make sure you select DVD/CD master as the image type. Then rename the file to have a .ISO extension and you should be good to go.
