    Hey Parallels Desktop community,

I could use some guidance here. I've recently installed the trial version of Parallels Desktop 19 on my M2 Mac and have successfully set up a virtual machine running macOS. However, I'm struggling to find the option to isolate the virtual machine from the host system in Parallels Desktop Preferences. It seems like it's missing.

If anyone has insights or recommendations on how to achieve this isolation, please share them with me. I'd greatly appreciate your help.

    Cheers,
    Alex

Is "Isolate Windows from Mac" option is no longer available in Parallels Desktop 19?

It seems that insulation mode is not supported on M2 Macs with Parallels Desktop 18 either. That's a huge bummer.

Isolate Windows from Mac is still an option in parallels desktop 19 however it is only available as a GUI checkbox for windows and linux virtual machines as there is currently no graphical interface to adjust macOS Arm VM configuration.

No, the 'Isolate' option is not available in Parallels Desktop 19 for Apple laptops with M2 for Mac OS virtual machine.

    1. I am attempting to isolate a Mac OS VM, not a Windows VM.

    2. No, Parallels Desktop 19 for Apple laptops with M2 doesn't have a settings menu at the VM level, see screenshot below.

    Hello,
Please note, there is currently no graphical interface to adjust macOS VM configuration hosted on Apple Silicon Mac. However, the configuration can be adjusted manually, as described in https://kb.parallels.com/en/128842
The available options are rather limited. I.e., it's not possible to change some things such as UUID.
    Thank you.

I disabled sharing the host's home folder with guest VM by changing config.pvs file parameter to the following: <ShareUserHomeDir>0</ShareUserHomeDir>

    1. What needs to be changed in the config.pvs file to enable access to only a specific folder on the host macOS?

    2. What needs to be changed in the config.pvs file to disable network access on the virtual machine?
