Issue with RAM between parallels and boot camp

Hi!

Just a query to do with allocated RAM when using boot camp and parallels.

I'm running parallels with an 18gb boot camp partition, with 1024mb of RAM allocated to the windows virtual machine.
My system has a total of 2048mb RAM.

PROBLEM: When i boot my system directly to windows with boot camp i notice in the system tab that only 1024mb of RAM can be used....Shouldn't it operate with 2048mb since it is not operating as a virtual machine in when using boot camp, it is operating as a native drive?
I need the extra memory because I run applications such as autocad that require lots and lots of RAM!!
Is this a common problem? I hope there is a solution to this!?!

Thanks in advance,

Kevin!!

Well, have you tried reseating your memory? I doubt that would make a difference, it sounds like an issue with your BC install. This really isn't the purpose of the forums, though, as it sounds like your Parallels is working properly. I would recommend the Apple forums to discuss BootCamp.
