Items missing from desktop in xp virtual machine

I am running latest parallels version on my Mac which is running Big Sur 11.6
OI have windows 10 and windows xp running in virtual machines on parallels

Now I have used this for a few years and today I had cause to use windows xp and found the documents and files I have on my Mac desktop are being shared with my windows 10 vm but not my xp vm - it worked fine before

I have restarted each of the virtual machines and my Mac also - problem still remains

Any suggestions?
