I'm new to everything Mac. Bought a new iMac, installed Parallels 3.0. Installed XP pro on the Mac and it runs!
I've read the book, searched the forums and must be missing an obvious thing, but I am stuck.
I have a PC that I was working with and need its programs/data. I successfully transported the data from the pc to the mac. its in the "migrated disks" folder inside the Parallels folder. The installed Microsoft XP folder is also in this Parallels folder (all default placements).
Inside the "migrated Disks" folder is the .hdd file that I presume is my old PC drive.
Couple things:
1) Ok...now what do I do?
2) What is the best way to use the programs I really use (lots of old stuff that really doesn't need to be on this virtual machine.)
3) what about simple data access of the old pc?
thanks!
Rick
