Hi there,

i just installed a trial of parallels and chose my boot-camp installation of windowsXP as guest-system.

Paralles did warn me, on first attempt it has to perform an overall set up and has to do a restart of windowsXP afterwards. Too, a new activation of winXP will be neccessary.

Ok, I just wanted to wait for the setup and the reboot.
But nothing happened till 15 min.

I now see the windows desktop, and a dialog of windows asking for drivers for 'new found hardware' ... but windows seems to be stuck somehow.

I cant access the desktop ... it seems the setup hasnt been finished yet ... but wont continue either.

what can I do now?

Parallel also warns not to stop the virtual machine or loss of data could be the result.

Holy sh&"!§$ (sorry :)

... but I dont want to crush my boot camp installation....

Please help, I cant turn off my computer for the same reason, i fear ...

ok, after the hell of a time it seemed to work ... it ook about twenty minutes for the set up ...

maybe its because I ejected the dvd from the dvd-drive?

Shortly after this it all seemed to advance ....

anyway .... vitual machine rebooted .... I cant use iSight-camera ...

WinXP asked 2 imes for new hardware though ....
