Keep bootcamp partition up to date?

Hi,
I just got a Macbook Air and I mainly use it for Windows 7, which I installed with bootcamp.

Now I also got Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac since I thought that I could access the Windows 7 partition from within Mac OS/X but I'm comfused by something.
The bootcamp (ligth) documentation in Parallels User's Guide (p.16) says that I can import the bootcamp partition.
They explain then that everything I modify in the Parallels windows environment is separate from the actual bootcamp partition.
From what I understand, it only clones the bootcamp partition into a local Mac VM machine.

That's not at all what I'm interested in. What I need is to run my Windows 7 apps from Max OS/X but everything I change, like documents, as well as the applications settings, all the system configurations, etc... are mirrored into the physical bootcamp partition. If I boot natively to Windows 7 using bootcamp, I need to find everything up to date in the same state as when I left Parallels.

Is this possible or did I get Parallels for nothing?
Is it possible to work from Max OS/X on the actual physical bootcamp windows partition or only on a cloned image?

Method 1 :
Install VM converter on the PC. Convert the PC to a VM. Move the VM to the Mac. Install the VM tools. THe VM you move will have multiple files. They all need to come over.

Method 2:
Use GImageX (or ImageX cli) on the PC to create a WIM file of itself. Install Win7 Ent on boot camp partition. On the Mac, boot to WinPE disk with ImageX or GImageX on it and restore the WIM to the Win7 partition. Make sure you get it right or the Mac partition might blow up. You may also be able to restore the WIM while booted to the Win& partition, not sure though.
