I downloaded a live CD of a Brazilian distro, named Kurumin, based on Knoppix. The live CD boots wonderfully under an "Other Linux" VM and I am able to install Linux based on this live CD to my workstation hard disk. The disk correctly shows all the Linux directories and files needed to work properly.
But when I try to boot my VM from the HD it halts just after the Parallels' BIOS messages that reports the installed memory. How can it be that a system works from a live CD but will not boot from HD?
