When I ordered an Ubuntu 7.10 distribution CD I also ordered a Kubuntu 7.10 CD. This CD boots differently from the Ubuntu one, but no more successfully. The X server does not repeatedly crash as described in another thread. The screen does flash large and black once, then settles down to large and blue; then goes back to the 640x480 terminal screen and the boot process simply hangs.
