KVM Switch in use with Parallels

I have been using Parallels Desktop since its beta stage and overall my experience has been excellent so far. I don't use any fancy USB devices though so I might have been spared of a few shortcomings on the way. I do, however, use a Belkin USB/VGA KVM switch at work to switch between my work PC and my MBP. I know, I could fully integrate my work PC into my MBP using Parallels but there are good reasons not to, most of all I don't want to take my work back home ;). Plus my work PC runs a German version of Win2K and my Parallelized Win2K is in English and sometimes I need both just plain simply to have the proper English terminology to find solutions to some annoying MS Access problem. But i digress.
So, every time I switch back to my beloved Mac environment (using - you guessed right - the KVM) I get the following message not only one, but thrice:
USB device you are trying to connect to the virtual machine is being used by another process. Wait 5-10 seconds, then try to connect the device again. If this does not help, find the application that blocked up the device and disconnect it manually.

Of course, if I switch back and forth repeatedly without dismissing the warnings they accumulate indefinitely.
Now, if we would get this message only once would already be a satisfying solution. If I could turn off the warning altogether I'd be most delighted.

Turning off autoconnect actually did the trick. I guess if I don't use all that many USB devices anyways I don't really need the autoconnect feature.

To get rid of two (identical) instances of the warning message would still be desireable for people who do need autoconnect though.
 
Or install virtue desktop and run Parallels on a different desktop. I get the same error occasionally and my usual cmd-tab doesn't switch to Parallels. But since I run it on a different desktop I just click the menu and select my "windows" desktop and I'm back in Parallels.

I use a MacBook Pro with a USB mouse. I get the error when I close the lid (sleep) and go to a meeting, then return to my desk, plug in the mouse again and open the lid. Then I try the cmd-tab to Parallels and get the error you noted. It's very repeatable, but apparently doesn't mean anything because just switching deskops gets me back in.

Is that a new machine?? Didn't know the Powerbook came with an Intel chip.

That's from back when I thought Apple could have come up with a better name than MacBook. I simply thought (and still think to a certain extend) that Powerbook is such a strong brand and simply sounds better.
