LanToucher Instant Messaging

This IM program was working well on my computer prior to creating the VM and moving with Parallels 5 to a new iMac. We are on a domain. I am able to use the XP Pro Guest OS with no problems. LanToucher works to send and receive messages, but will not populate the list with the people available. I have forwarded all ports (137-139, 445) to the IP of the Guest OS, but still no joy. Any ideas?

Try to switch to Bridged Networking (it is not guaranteed though that it will work in all network environments)
 
I did bridge the network, have assigned a static IP and it is part of the domain. It seems like there must be a port blocked, as I have forwarded all that I know of....

The PortForwarding affects only SharedNetworking, in bridged (likely it must be bridged to "defaul adapter") it is not required.

Are you able to browse the internet while VM is in bridged networking? If yes, then bridged works ok and likely you need to dig in another directions - may be Windows Firewall blocks something..
 
Hmmm, well, in Parallels Preferences I have it as Shared Networking with forwarded ports, but under the VM prefs I have Network Adapter 1 set to "Ethernet". Firewall is off by policy. Good times.... : )
