I am trying to reinstall Parallels on my Mac after reformatting. I have Parallels 17 but I keep getting pushed to 20 when logging into my Parallels licenses. Even when I find a link for 17 and download it, it ends up being 20 and demands I pay an upgrade fee. I know 17 works perfectly on this computer since I'm just reinstalling it. I hunted down 17 link on this forum but it keeps crashing Windows 11 download. Interestingly, I am not allowed to call Parallels to get this info without upgrading my license. I understand Parallels needs to make money but this is very frustrating way to treat a customer. Coming here to see if there's a parallels employee willing to give me a hand.
Hello LaniA, Please provide us with the MacOS version of your computer. Additionally, please attempt the following steps: 1. Download and install Parallels Desktop 17.1.7 from the link: https://download.parallels.com/desktop/v17/17.1.7-51588/ParallelsDesktop-17.1.7-51588.dmg Note: During installation, you will be prompted to install the 20.2 version; just close the windows and select "use current". 2. After installation > Launch your Windows Virtual Machine. 3. Right-click the virtual machine icon in Dock > Actions > Reinstall (Update) Parallels Tools.
